Salt Lake City Fun

Salt Lake City has many things to see. A must see is Temple square in the winter time. You can be apart of the majestic sight of the temple and the lights which line the many trees and gardens. Temple square has much to see, including and the beehive house. It is a restored replica of Brigham Young’s first home built in Salt Lake City in 1854 to his family and other church leaders. There is also the LDS church Visitors Center, as well as the Joseph Smith Memorial building. You do not have to be a part of this church to take place at these events. It is very beautiful and is once in a lifetime experiences. City Creek mall is also right down the street, City Creek has many fun stores and restaurants inside. There is the Disney store, Cheesecake Factory, American Eagle Outfitters, the Apple store, Forever 21, Gap, Express, Foot Locker, Chick-fil-a, H&M, Jimmy Johns, Kneaders, LOFT, Blue Lemon, Macy’s, Microsoft, Vans, Red Iguana, and so many others! They will have just about any store for just about any of your needs. When I was there last My family went to Temple Square and toured the Visitors center then the Gardens on the roof, walked through the historic artifacts and the museum. Then we caught up with some friends from Oregon who wanted to take a tour of the beehive house with us, so we did that then went to the Nauvoo Cafe to get BYU Creamery Ice Cream. It is a little bit of heaven mixed with a little Ben & Jerry’s cup. We said goodbye to our friends then walked the mall. We stopped by Apple to get new iPhones than to Macey’s for new clothes. We decided to eat at Johnny Rockets which has the most amazing tater tots you will ever have. With many variations of regular, street loaded, or southwestern. We finished multiple orders of tots, almost to the point of pain and until everyone was satisfied. We were just about to leave when we spotted Oakely, then we were interested in shoes and clothes. They have so many good quality, excellent clothes, and shoes for a reasonable, low cost. My three sons got a pair of high-tops and a few shirts each. They were very excited and were eager to try them on. They, of course, talked about it all the way home. Salt Lake City is also home to the Salt Lake Bees, and The Utah Jazz. It is about an hour from Park City, half an hour from Draper, daylight, South Jordan, and sandy. It is about forty-five minutes from Lehi, Alpine, and Highland. We were able to make a good experience as a family. We had so much fun and will definitely do it again. I hope you will be able to make similar memories for the ones like ours.
